Each year since 1997, Houston Methodist Hospital celebrates Doctors' Day by honoring two exceptional physicians who go above and beyond for their patients and staff. This year one of our own physicians, Dr. Richard A. Goldfarb, received the John W. Overstreet Award for his commitment to academic medicine and his patients.
Houston Metro Urology is proud to have a physician like Dr. Goldfarb who strives to deliver medical excellence everyday. He is a clinical professor of urology and has taught at institutions such as, Baylor College of Medicine, Weill Cornell Medical College, and Texas A&M Methodist Houston. He is the only clinical professor that teaches while practicing medicine full time in a private practice. In his spare time, Dr. Goldfarb enjoys bird watching around the world and is currently a board member of the Houston Audubon Society. He is a founding member of the Maimonides Society Jewish Federation and previously the President of the Doctors' Division. He is also a previous board member of Seven Acres Nursing Home.
